It’s not surprising TNT would go for these, with their Premier League offering being diminished and pay TV / free to air splits seem to be the best of both worlds for rights owners for competitions of a certain level.
It’s a shame though and helped to make up for live European football being much less attainable for free to air broadcasters than it used to be and indeed to the more casual football fan.
I agree, it wouldn't surprise me if BBC loses out, in view with their well-documented financial issues, notwithstanding its impending Champions League highlights rights - and renewed Premier League highlights rights - which did not come cheap.
(Off topic, the BBC could lose the free-to-air cricket rights, as they expire at the end of this summer)
