I hadn't thought if that, but that's sounds accurate. Jason Gardiner (another former athlete) was Denise's predecessor. The CEO will be running things.
I'm also surprised that Denise stayed with the BBC rather than UKA, not only because the BBC already have another (more recent) Olympic Heptathlon champion in Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill as part of their team. Their specialities overlap.
