Whilst I 100% agree with this, it is evident that the FA have lost the narrative about this. I'm seeing many prominent names, like below, basically proclaim that matches like this will be locked away forevermore from next year. In reality, the new deal will likely be similar to anything from before 2021. A major PR blunder by everyone involved that, when agreed, the new FTA element will not fully put to bed.

The FA Cup draw was done from the ITV studio in Old Trafford rather than with Seema Jaswal in a bunker. This meant Roy Keane and Graeame Sounness (nice to see him back on TV) appear on international broadcasters doing nothing. Ian Wright must have been drunk on that game, it was close to a Rod Steward Scottish Cup draw impression!
