Quite the scene in the Turkish Super Cup. My broadcasting related question is all those ads popping up across the lower thirds the standard in Turkish sports broadcasting??
Seems really quite excessive in this clip. They might have rushed all the ads from the whole 90' into the brief bit of time that match actually lasted for ).
To what happened. In protest over a number of factors of governance of Turkish football, such as refereeing, fan violence and the game not being postponned despite Fenerbahce playing in the Europa League on Thursday, Fenebahce originally named their under 19 team to start. They then conceded in the first monute, and then walked off the pitch. Galatasaray were declared winners of the Super Cup. The match was originally postponned back in December after a row relating to it being held in Saudi Arabia and the Saudis not allowing the image of Turkey's founder Mustafa Kemal Ataturk to be displayed.
