For me, it’s not a good look for Sky News. It’s effectively outed them as being overtly politically biased
Eh? What have politics got to do with this?

Could it be they had already written a script or scripts hours or days ago for when his name was inevitably revealed and accidentally used the one that involved his name being revealed by him resigning?
Highly unlikely.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the newsroom heard/were told a statement from Huw was coming and assumed it was his resignation (Maybe rumours to that effect had been heard as well.) but then it wasn’t.

It was certainly odd for them not to mention that Adam Boulton is employed by News UK. Sky News managed it earlier on, so why couldn't Newsnight?

He left that role 9 years ago, and Sky News completely 2 years ago, so I'm not sure how any current views he expresses could reflect on them.
It doesn't. Jay just appears to like overextending his metaphors in the name of criticising Sky News. (See also: His most-recent post in the Newsnight thread, which throws an entire creche out with the bathwater.)

Rod Liddle is probably one of the last people Newsnight should have had on about this subject considering the questionable articles he's written in the past (which of course are all over social media this evening).

There was also of course the Sunak and Javid double resignation, which saw the breaking news graphics all over B at the start of a delayed Six (as it also happened during Wimbledon).

I think PA and Sky had reported he'd resigned, before swiftly retracting.

Bit of mess on the UK News Channel just then, UK opt regarding public sector pay finished at exactly 13:00, switched to the start of the One for about a second (Clive Myrie standing ready for the start) and then to BBC News Now for 90 seconds and then a cut (midway though a correspondent in Rome talking about the heat wave) back to the One with Clive Myrie midway through introducing the first story.

PA had sent it out to the wires he had resigned before retracting it. Why they had I don't know as they sent out the wives statement too.

The UK feed probably works with a sky remote control person got bored and flicked in between the three feeds .
