Yoann Latouche is to be William à midi's weather forecaster, which replaces a newsreader read. (William à midi is C8's version of TéléMatin shown at lunchtime).
He covered for Alexandra Blanc on CNEWS in preparation.

Well after weeks (or months!) of denial, it's finally happened: Altice Media is being sold.

No overnight news on France 24's French channel overnight. It was replaced by repeat airings of L'actu 360.

BFMTV may be being sold... but it isn't moving out of its current offices. A long term lease has been signed until 2028 with a 3 year notice being needed to move out and any extension to be at least 9 years. A bit of money for a struggling Drahi to pocked.

Speaking of whom, he's reportedly making cuts to pro-Israel i24news, which is not being sold (the end of synergies between BFMTV and i24news will be very welcome news to BFMTV staff -- who were unhappy at the beginning of the war back in October that i24news reporters with questionable credentials and even more questionable information were appearing on BFMTV).

Sounds like what Altice are doing is what we call Warehousing in the UK. Sell the channel but make revenue from licencing the brand and renting the offices and studio facilities to the new owner.
It's more common in radio over here where Communicorp UK own some Heart, Capital and Smooth stations to comply with local advertising rules, but pay a fee to Global for office, studio and technical support.

Drama at Franceinfo continues.
You may remember that Gael Giordana left Franceinfo after allegations that his weekend co-presenter Camille Grenu sexually harassed him and homophobic comments about his sexuality alongside non-consensual physical contact on his upper body.
In January, France Télévisions had to pay Gael 80,000€ compensation for moral and sexual harassment alongside being dismissed.
Grenu is now suing Giordana and denies ever making such comments to him and claims they had a good working relationship, she also claims it's an attempt by him to get him reinstated on the weekend morning show which has two different presenters, while Camille was moved to weekend mid-mornings last August and has fallen down the pecking order on the channel.
Camille was covering Au cœur de l’info on Friday.

The Telerama article notes how Giordana's lawyer argued at the initial case that there were three other employees (or cases of employees) who had previously complained about Grenu's behaviour, also highlighting how Giordana had allegedly received the backing of the redaction via text from his redacteur en chef who also noted that Grenu had previously been warned. Giordana also notes a power imbalance which he says placed him in a difficult position as he worked for Telematin on Mondays and Tuesdays with his boss on those days being none other than Grenu's husband.

Worth noting that both parties have appealed January's civil suit with Giordana (detailed in his interview with Le Parisien) unsatisfied with not being reinstated, whilst franceinfo contests the claims being considered sexual or moral harassment.

Grenu is also suing the press who've relayed Giordana's side of the story.

So it looks like France Télévisions sided with Grenu although she was demoted, despite being given formal warnings for her previous behaviour towards other colleagues, while Giordana was dismissed.
Gael posted a tweet yesterday showing a pic from France Télévisions claiming their zero tolerance for sexual, moral or sexist harassment, which appears to have not been done with the case of Grenu.
Considering Camille's husband works on TéléMatin in a senior role, it does stink a bit of nepotism over truth.

Franceinfo's Tout en son contraire culture interview segment was from the sofa using a steady cam which Philippe Vandel had to explain what it was to his guest
I wonder if it's a permanent change or easier to move it to the sofa during what I think is one of Franceinfo's 'normal' schedule during a holiday period moment?
