Yes, I think he is freelance.

Out of curiosity, how many people would normally be involved in the breakfast bulletins?

Back in the Woodhouse Lane days it seemed like a real skeleton operation with Peter Levy pressing the buttons live on air in the  self-op studio.

I presume nowadays there are more people involved, given the bulletins are more than just a presenter reading to one camera and a series of slides.

This is from BBC Wales a few weeks ago, rather than anything from Yorkshire, but there is only three people involved in producing their morning bulletins, the presenter/producer, the weather presenter and one behind the camera. Not sure if other bulletins would need more people if their tech is not as modern as BBC Wales is etc. Plus others wouldn't have a weather presenter live I guess.

Seems that Liz Green has left Radio Leeds. I know she said in an interview after the Belfield conviction that she was looking to do so.

Yes, she said she wasn’t happy with the way the BBC dealt with Belfield’s actions. She must have been there for around 30 years.

Regional bulletins on ITV owned regions during GMB tend to be a presenter and someone in the gallery using a fixed camera. Weather is pre-rec the previous evening. (A region with sub-regions will also pre-record one opt and the other live).

I think most BBC English regions are similar to ITV, but depending on the region, they'll have a live weather forecaster or a pre-rec done before 6am as they have to also do lives on the local radio stations.

I was quite surprised to see that Politics North was coming from the Leeds temporary set, I thought they might have decamped to Hull.

It is actually 2 people in the gallery for ITV regional GMB bulletins. A producer (who also deals with timings) and a multitasking director (who also controls a mini sound mixer).
There is normally an extra technical member in the gallery for the late & weekend bulletins.

Yes. I was saying that I'm surprised that it was using that set (with no redressing) when Hull is an option.
