International News Presentation: Past and Present

Dunno if this counts as a news show exactly, but DR's Aftenshowet has a fresh new and minimalist look with lots of oranges and dark blues and images of people.

The news of Silvio Berlusconi's death breaking on Sky tg24 this morning, very quickly followed by a specially-prepared lower third which has remained on screen since.

Shirvo's first day on Sunrise also turned out to be the day tragedy struck New South Wales after an awful bus crash took place just after a beautiful wedding in the Hunter Valley area. As a result, both Seven's Sunrise and Nine's Today show both stayed on air for an extra hour until 10am.
This was how Australia's main channels reported on the news.

In Germany, the newscasts across the Seven. One channels will be unified under the ":Newstime" umbrella next week, though their editorial styles are still different:

Quote:As early as next week, Seven. One Entertainment will unify the news offerings of Sat.1, ProSieben and Kabel Eins. From 19 June, "Kabel Eins News", "Newstime" running on ProSieben and "Sat.1 Nachrichten" will thus become the new ":newstime". All digital news activities and those on Joyn will also go by the new name.

"Where ':newstime' is on it, ':newstime' is in it. The brand will be an absolutely reliable source of information for people - up-to-date, fast and on all platforms," Sven Pietsch, the editor-in-chief of Seven. One Entertainment Group, is certain. The aim is to establish the new brand ":newstime" as a "seal of quality for comprehensible and non-judgemental quality journalism in the German news landscape. ":newstime" will also become the brand on platforms such as YouTube or Instagram.

Despite the same name, the news programmes are to be quite different. Arne Teetz, Editor-in-Chief News: "We are combining our strengths and competencies under the joint brand ':newstime' and will continue to produce different programmes for Sat.1, ProSieben and Kabel Eins, tailored to the respective viewers' interests, with our own presenters. In the future, however, we will go beyond this and, in combination with our digital distribution channels, will be able to offer an even more comprehensive and uniform journalistic service for everyone at all times.

It was a good decision to take the Newstime brand as the common news brand for them; it was hinted since the newly launched website and social media pages of the new operation went under that name. However, I find the logo very similar to Franceinfo. Really similar. And good move on retaining each channel's separate offerings (ProSieben has been traditionally more tabloid in style due to its younger demographics, whilst Sat.1 has historically had a more serious tone, with more politics and social affairs, and Kabel 1 has taken the "news-you-can-use" route).

Additionally, and according to the same press release, the new real studio won't debut until later this year, so, still the temporary virtual studio for a while (maybe a new set design?). We will see what will the full look be on Monday.

And here are the opens, also very really similar to Franceinfo, but the music is just too generic and production music-like. The ugly virtual set design is still there, but looks less outlandish than what they had before. Additionally, the normal channel DOGs are now being used during the bulletins.

Considering Sat.1 has a breakfast show on that channel ('Sat.1 Fruhstucksfernsehen', or in English: 'Sat.1 Breakfast Television'), is the 'Newstime' brand also used there?

Alongside their channel rebrand, Noticias RCN in Colombia also has new graphics, dropping the corporate green and blue for bright orange and with slanted boxes. Their opening is possibly refreshed as well, but I couldn't find sources for that at the moment.
