COINCIDENCE? I think not...  Someone from Red Bee MUST be monitoring this post... I'm just not convinced how the feed got fixed 1 day after we post about this lol...   Big Grin
i think they have, well i have tried a clip similar to your style with credit to Ste for the 19.2e clip, but its turned out to be the same.

Maybe i am in the minority view, well I think its great we see NickyS more then before the merger, I think he presents the analysis pieces quite well and showed how long that Boris Johnson statement was on the screen.

And after that article, i'm sure that will give management the incentive to hurry things up a bit.

Even if those with substantive jobs (Sarah Campbell, Luxmy Gopal, Ben Thompson etc) returned to those roles and those who are presumed to be freelancers are let go entirely there is quite possibly more than 7 candidates whose jobs are ‘at risk’ (and quite notably as an Africa business correspondent Nancy Kacungira’s job prior to the merger was not seemingly considered ‘at risk’). People like Sally Bundock, Victoria Valentine, Lukwesa Burak and Rich Preston may have remained on air throughout the process but their jobs are no more secure in the medium term than those currently not on air. Also as those jobs would be considered a step down from their prior roles it may be that they haven’t applied and therefore cannot be placed in them.
It would also appear from Twitter that there is only 6 vacancies remaining as Rajini Vaidyanathan has as good as confirmed that she has landed one of the posts. With the way things are going it would look as though Geeta is by far the most likely to return of the missing presenters and she is likely to be joined by people such as Luxmy Gopal, Vishala Sri Pathma and Lukwesa Burak in the roles.

The more I think about this the more it makes me angry. Let’s take Martine (our queen). She has been presenting on both channels for over 20 years, yet suddenly she’s ‘not good enough’ for this new world news spectacular, yet some young producer who has never presented in their life *does* somehow cut it? It makes zero sense.

How do you deduce that Geeta is the most likely to return? Because of the colour of her skin?

Bundock must presumably have been either given some permanent non-chief presenter role or is treated separately as a business presenter as she is fairly notably included in the re-edited countdown, which otherwise only includes reporters, network presenters and the channel's chief presenters.

I do sometimes get the impression that the whole reported 5 + 8 presenter role situation is taken a bit strictly on here.

Studio E on the One, what is wrong with B is it all those LEDs costing the crippled bbc news an arm and a leg?

They used a mish mash of titles. The actual titles were the short Chameleon ones they use in B but the music was for the “newsroom titles” which meant the camera which sweeps across the studio was left to linger until the music stopped and Ben Brown could start talking.

One of the cameras in B came off it’s tracks. Back in B for the Six tonight.
