The Sport Thread - For stuff not worthy of a thread of its own

Ah, that explains it. Talking of which god, The Open graphics are ugly.

And talking of ugly graphics I don't watch F1 so I know this is old news but that permanent on screen graphic now on the left hand side seems so unnecessary. A great feature as a digital extra, but overkill on the main feed IMO. I'm sure the previous set was much more discreet.

The world feed graphics are indeed horrible. However Sky viewers don’t get subjected to them (mostly) - they get Sky’s normal golf graphics recoloured in The Open’s dark blue and gold instead.

I don't think it's a common occurrence for an SPL team to sell rights to a Champions League qualifier - they'd usually prefer to get a crowd in the stadium - so a bit of a surprise to see Rangers at home on the BBC.

Especially considering how frosty the relationship was between Rangers and the BBC only 13 months ago.
At the end of 2021/22, it didn't look likely that the BBC would be allowed in Ibrox in the near future, so for them to broadcast a match sold by the club a year later is quite the turnaround.

Rangers have put a lot of effort into Rangers TV in the last few years from what I've seen, so a surprise they didn't try and get a decent taking from PPV fees and instead got a deal with the BBC. They've regularly employed national names like Emma Dodds, Becky Ives and Clive Tyldesley to lead their broadcasts of home matches (broadcasts globally and available in the UK outside of the blackout hours), and one would imagine they would get a lot of subs being one of the two biggest teams in Scotland.

Couldn't find a Sky Sports thread, and couldn't t get the upload service working on Metropole...

But just seen an advert for Sky Sports and wondering if they're about to tweak the logo as seen at the end of this promo.

Looks very much like it's just styled that way for the circus theme of the promo rather than anything more permanent.

Juventus have been banned from taking part in UEFA football tournaments for 1 year and fined £17.4 million after breaching financial fair play rules.

The club were due to play in the UEFA Conference League this year but have now been kicked out of the competition.

What does move do to broadcasters in Italy who have rights to show the UEFA Conference league to their viewers?

Are there any other Italian clubs taking part in that tournament?

I agree with Transmission that it appears to be stylised to fit the theme. The logo on the golf ball earlier in the promotion (whilst small) appears to be the existing logo.

Indeed, and this is a screenshot from the Sky website, definitely keeping to the circus theme, particularly with the new football season around the corner.
