If Bridgid was covering BBC London, which is more of a straight bulletin than Look North, I don't think they'd be an issue.

The link to/from the weather is the worst bit, Paul ends with his upbeat conclusion and gets nothing in return
Paul: “…and just look at those temperatures on Thursday, 27 degrees, summer is finally here, and that’s the forecast!”
Bridgid: “Paul Thank You”

Compare it to the banter between Paul and Peter Levy on the Hull edition and the contrast couldn't be any greater.
You can't imagine Bridgid having a convo with Kat about her Cockney accent as she does with Paul every time she does Hull.

She was fine.
Are we really judging her on her ‘banter’ and comparing it to two presenters who have worked together for 20+ years?

Yes maybe it’s a bit harsh as there are many other presenters who are a bit wooden when it comes to unscripted chats and just stick to the autocue

I think the point is that Bridgid is a solid delivery presenter, more suited to a bulletin like C4 News, TRT World or BBC News than a northern regional news magazine.
It reminds me of just how good Katy Rickitt was at Calendar who grasped the concept and is able to go between light and shade.

Nice to see Dickie Bird sharing his personal memories of Parky on Calendar tonight. Being interviewed by Ian White.

Poor Dickie Bird probably still hasn't got over losing his mate Harry Gration last year and now Parky, it was very nice of Ian to spend some time with him (even after the filmed interview) and check he was OK

Indeed it was a very sad interview, losing your close friends and best friends is truely heartbreaking.

Looks like we are getting a combined Yorkshire and Yorks & Lincs bulletin with Peter Levy at 10:30
