BBC News Pres: Apr 2023 - Present (News Channel/BBC One)

There’s the most ridiculus oversized QR Code graphic on screen during this PM questions about RAAC in schools it’s ridiculous.

Ridiculous - like a few weeks ago basically telling people to go to the website for details on what they're watching rather than just letting the pictures tell the story.

Apparantly the launch of a new album is now also classified as "Breaking News" from the BBC... 🙄

I think we're not far away from seeing the BBC following the footsteps of the American network news outlets... billing every single story on the One/Six/Ten as "Breaking News"

Didn't they pilot the "LATEST" strap a few months ago before the merger in attempt to dilute "not-so-breaking-news"? What happened to it during the management's evaluation???

It could have been worse they could have said breaking and LIVE: Rolling Stones to launch new album, they did something like that a few weeks ago which looked ridiculous.

Dear BBC News, please provide a training session for presenters who don’t know how to end an interview other to cut them off mid sentence as the programme has run out of time. It’s happened on every interview in the last 30 mins and is very amateurish. Thanks 👍

Maybe they couldn't get an even brighter red for it? Tongue

Re: QR code pushback. Is it possible to get one or two paragraphs from the online stream onto the screen, kinda like what we saw in BBC World's breakfillers? I think it's possible with the real estate they have (I've tried recreating that myself), but I'm not sure on the technical side of things...

Watch this space...

Sick of red everywhere, all the time. There's no excuse for dumping that nice, black strap they had before. They could reverse red & white for breaking news, so there would at least be some difference.

The worst thing is we’ll be stuck with this until the next revamp, as to change it back to how it was before would mean them admitting it was a bad idea to make it completely red. And as we know - the BBC can never be wrong, about anything.

We should be faulting the producers of the broadcast for not giving enough time for the interview, for not managing the running order or running time so the interview has enough time, or placing the interview at the very end of the program.

these titles will last for the next 5 years, according to the current creative director.
