Deal Or No Deal

It’s not just you, it looks like it could be something used for any gameshow commission bar the inclusion of the red box. I think it also gives us an idea what the set might look like.

One of the things DOND did well was it felt like an antidote to the look all gameshows post-Millionaire had to go for and injected a bit of personality back into the genre.

One thing at least, we can assume the iconic red boxes won’t be changed much.

Seems just to be generic TV show font over box.

Loved the show in the early years though as with everyone that faded away in the latter years. Have very little enthusiasm for this revival, though I think it should suit Stephen.

Let's hope they bring back the seasonal episodes!

It's happened before with Cash Trapped.

It's definitely boxes - would be players opening them as per the original- seemingly weekly stripped as well

They won't. It will either be designed to be repeated with each episode looking as generic as possible so it's not immediately obvious if you are watching a repeat or how old it is, or they will have non-seasonal specials.

Even the Channel 4 version dropped seasonal specials and went with non-seasonal specials like Love Week and The Bankers Birthday Week which could be shown whatever the season.

I expect to see things like Be Kind to the Elderly Week, Lion Awareness Day or a Three Cheers for Competitive Team Sports Special.

Deal Or No Deal returns on the 20th November at 4pm so looks like it's going to be shown weekdays.

That set looks horrid. Definitely not as homely as the original incarnation. Certainly going for a different feel.

Looks more like a sci-fi show than a gameshow.

Yes, cheap and nasty! Even the main prize is cut price. I bet they even bought the boxes at the Wilko closedown sale.
