The set will probably come across better than you think on TV
That won't be a big issue, nor will Stephen Mulhern, but the new money ladder sort of rips out the 'drama' element from the 'entertainment drama'
It also has to pad out the hour (well 45 minutes) a bit more as there is no offer button, no Box 23...so expect a lot more dragging out of the contestant deliberating over every offer and checking with their mates in the audience if they should take them or not
Also expect an article from the Daily Express stating that Tipping Point has been AXED in a DRAMATIC schedule change

Yes, I don't think it's any coincidence Deal or No Deal's fortunes began to change when they expanded to an hour. It was perfectly paced at 45 minutes, and crucially meant over half of the game play was actually in the last 15 minutes which works well for people tuning in and only catching the end - just like The Chase and indeed Tipping Point you can get invested in the climax of the show without having seen the end of it.

The original Deal or No Deal on Channel 4 for me was best when they had specials during the year - Channel 4 used to really invest in "Love Week" for Valentine's week, Easter specials, Banker's Birthday specials, summer specials, Halloween Trick or Treat week and of course Christmas specials.
I feel if Deal or No Deal was only aired in these specials format during the year in prime time - it would ensure the one hour slot would be easily filled.
When Channel 4 abandoned these specials around 2015 due to scheduling problems at Channel 4, it really was the death of the show.

Deal or No Deal has been listed amongst ITV's Christmas highlights, so is it that the episodes are going to run into Christmas or is there some special ones or Celebrity?

Well the new rebooted series starts Monday 20th November and I was told they had produced a batch of 20 episodes in the original first recording run, for that would cover 4 weeks which would probably see them have a Christmas week of shows from Monday 11th December possibly, unless they filmed more.

if this run of episodes does do well, then I could easily see it being extended to having a more permanent place on the schedules, I would not be surprised if ITV did away with tipping point in the future.

I've mentioned before I was at the recording of the first two episodes and there were very long periods when the contestant was deliberating on whether to take the offer. I imagine they'll cut some of it down in the edits but it seemed very long in person.
