As is standard practice now, all the goals from the 3pm FA Cup kick-offs are being shown on Final Score.
Today is also officialy without a blackout in Scotland as well; it was the case last season I think where the blackout was officialy in force in Scotland and Final Score on the Red Button was breaking it.

Yeah, I was thinking the same at points. Both kits had too much white really. Newcastle were in white instead of their normal black shorts to help differntiate, but I think most people would be drawn to the shirts only and might have missed that. Newcastle were also persisting with their red numbers on black and white stripes, which can be hard to read; their kit in the Champions League this season had a fully white back which was an improvement.

And outside of that it seems there are multiple kicks offs on Saturday at 12.30pm and 5.30pm and Sunday at 2pm. BBC is showing an extra game on the red button at 5.30pm alongside the BBC1 match and again tomorrow at 2pm ahead of their 4.30pm BBC1 match, whilst S4C have Shrewsbury v Wrexham at 2pm too. I'm guessing ITV's Thursday night match would likely have aired on Sunday if it hadn't been able to be played early.

With Mark Chapman hosting Middlesbrough v. Aston Villa on BBC One, this means Gary Lineker only does one match this week, which is a rarity for him. Also rare for Mark Chapman not to host the FA Cup third round Saturday 5 Live Sport.
With Eilidh Barbour reporting and Steve Bower on commentary for the BBC, Sky's Carabao Cup presenter, Sky's Scottish Premiership presenter and Channel 4's England commentator all on the same game. A case study in in how modern day sports broadcasting is. (PS And a Homes Under the Hammer presenter also on commentary)
And a new world feed intro music this year (same style as before). Hardly shouts FA Cup for me.

No it doesn’t, although I’ve never felt the world feed titles have been up to much.
Premier are, as last year, taking ITV’s coverage where available, otherwise the world feed. They’re airing a whopping twelve games this weekend, with four exclusive games (two 3pm KOs and two clashing fixtures) added to all the BBC and ITV ties.

And another one coming up with Arsenal wearing their all white kit to promote the No More Red campaign to eliminate knife crime. A great cause and a great idea, but these kits have been really hard to see the numbers and names on the shirt to identify the players. A difficult afternoon for Guy Mowbray.
EDIT: There is black tim to the numbers, so a little better than previous editions of this kit, though they are still almost impossible to see on wide shots on my TV.

Nice to see almost full strength teams in the all Premier League ties this weekend. There's not much going for the Premier League's winter break and its piecemeal implentation, but this does seem to be an upside of it.

Was last night the first time Jermaine Jenas presented MOTD?
He is far better presenting than commentating.

Think he's done MOTD 2 a handful of times, but can't remember seeing him in the main seat on a Saturday before.
