The announcement makes it sound a bit like it's only studios. But hopefully he might have some influence, and share a little of his expertise with the Head of Circles.

Edit: He's not going to be involved in graphics. Someone's asked him...

He’s not said he’s not going to be involved in graphics. He’s said he’ll be working with those that do. I’m sure he’ll have an influence.

Output Operations are the department that operate the studios - so that's the technical operators, directors, studio managers etc. Not just TV but radio too, both international and domestic, London and Salford. A big important department to be the head of

It's an operational department, they put everything on air that's given to them by the production teams, they don't get any say on things like branding or music or sets, but will of course facilitate them getting to air

Speaking of graphics, the new thumbnail for Business Today has just dropped on the EPG:

…you guessed it! It composed by our favorite red, circles and Reith. A combination of The Context and The Daily Global. Hopefully, the theme music will surprise us.

Jesus wept. How uninspired is that? Let's hope they've actually got David Lowe to compose some new music at least and not just decided to recycle the WBR theme or worse still the main news theme music!

Hopefully Erron won't be able to resist some much needed tinkering.

Obviously a generic transition branding, until they can properly launch their new programme “Business Context Daily”, which will feature talking heads with a business perspective!

(A joke, of course - or at least I hope it is!)
