Eurovision Song Contest 2024

Petra did it all alone in 2013 (with Eric Saade in the green room next door), whilst in 2016 she did the jury points on her own with Måns then joining her for the televote.

I would imagine it'll be the same again this year, with Malin up in the green room and then coming down for the televote to join Petra. Or they do it all together, with Malin then having to sprint to the green room to fill time during the commercial breaks

I wonder if Belgium will get into trouble for their pre airing on screen trade Union protest . Apparently Belgian Law meant it couldn’t be blocked from airing but the EBU will still take dim view.

Israel apparently got 39% of the public vote in Italy. If that is repeated in the final it could win the public vote.

I’m not sure what to make of this from RAI

In the 2022 result Ukraine only got around 24.5% in the semi and 29.5% of the Italian televote in final.

If that’s correct and replicated across other countries Isreal are in for a good night as far as televoters is concerned. Could get a mix of people who support them politically and unpolitical people who just like the song.

The BBC will be getting the non-commercial feed of the broadcast, presumably that includes the credits.

I assume the "Goodnight" graphic masks the commercial references.

Granted this was youtube comments but I'm sure last year people were saying Eurovision doesn't actually make a commercial free feed. Hence why the Beeb covered up the Moroccanoil sponsorship with a blue square. Yet this year it actually appears in DVE move similar to a credit squeeze where it pushes the break bumper upwards. So which is it?

As for the sponsors in the credits.

and then the Good Night! is also on the sponsored version, although of course much shorter. But then you'd also think the event suppliers credits would be allowed even on the commercial free feed if such thing does exist.

Double post but Tevebits posted "How TV stations join together for Eurovision" for this year.

It does make me think there is no commercial free feed - the other two commercial free broadcasters leave early before the sponsorship credits. But that doesn't explain how there is no sponsor on the break bumpers, unless SVT provided the original clean version?
