The week before they did a care home special OB from Scarborough.
I’ve noticed Scarborough seems to be the go-to place for any TV coverage of care home stories, both regionally and nationally.

Before taking a look, I knew it must be St. Cecilia's. It's where Ed Balls went for his series on care homes, and they do always seem to garner themselves a lot of publicity.

Weather is pre-rec the previous evening. (A region with sub-regions will also pre-record one opt and the other live).
I think most BBC English regions are similar to ITV, but depending on the region, they'll have a live weather forecaster or a pre-rec done before 6am as they have to also do lives on the local radio stations.
It is actually 2 people in the gallery for ITV regional GMB bulletins. A producer (who also deals with timings) and a multitasking director (who also controls a mini sound mixer).
There is normally an extra technical member in the gallery for the late & weekend bulletins.
Correct. And the morning Weather is recorded the previous mid afternoon.
If there is an overnight 'weather event' maps and brief scripts are sent out first thing so the presenter can read them.

Let’s hope so since over the Pennines, Lancashire people had a full proper HD setup whilst ours looked dark and gloomy with smeared cameras for a long long time.

So does that mean we’ll get Look North in full HD from Monday, but still from the temporary set?

I wonder how they'll get out both regional Politics shows on Sunday? Last time round, Politics North (NE&C) was played out by network to enable NE&C viewers to still watch it without having to opt-out locally.

Aww, I was getting all excited then. So Vaseline-o-vision continues on Monday after all.
