Not sure exactly where to post this but I felt it would probably be newsworthy to a lot of people here. There's no official word as of yet, but Twitter folk are reporting that Network, the folks famed for their classic TV releases, have gone under. Their website is currently offline with a message saying their hosting account has been suspended.

I always felt Network was something of a UK Gold/Granada Plus-by-DVD, given some of the gems they'd archived and made available for release. It'll be a real shame if nobody manages to pick up the baton.

Derek Thompson (who plays Charlie) is to leave the show after 300 years in the role.

Won’t be the same without Charlie.

Fantastic news broke last night that the cast (minus the late David Swift, obviously) are reuniting for a stage show, touring England from January next year.

What's happened to the EE rebrand of BTs consumer services? Could they be having second thoughts or are they waiting for BT Sport. to be rebranded to TNT.

C4 have very abruptly cancelled their reboot of Four Weddings about 2 weeks before it was due to shoot leaving its production team out of work. I've heard a few other bits and pieces including a missed payment for a show recently. Unclear if it's very savage cost-cutting or wider financial issues - failing to pay companies certainly suggests the latter.

To start a new topic as we’re now underway, Ron Desantis has had a rough launch of his campaign with all major broadcasters not airing his announcement after embarrassing technical issues in his live twitter feed with Elon Musk.

BBC News, Sky News, CNN, Fox News, and many others attempted to broadcast it and then moved on.

Not a good look for both Twitter/Musk and DeSantis.

From what I can see, only Newsmax have aired it since it started moments ago.

Don’t know if anyone else has noticed but NHK World has launched a new studio in New York, which I believe to be their first one outside Asia.  Catherine Kobayashi hosted an edition of NewsLine from there.
