I mean, in so many ways, it is the East Midlands Today set...

13/20h set looks great. the curved screen looks really look clear and bright and I like the desk and the simple way its used to display text in conjunction with the tower and video walls. Nice into and music as well. I like that dont repeat the open like the BBC does. And its new and fresh not the same re-hashed stuff over and over. In some ways this looks nicer to me than the Regional BBC sets. It might be smaller, but i actually like it more.

I'm getting strong 1980s album cover vibes from the 8.33 sign off from the the Franceinfo Matinale team today.

LCI is happy with the new breakfast show ratings -- only time will tell whether it was just one-off curious viewers considering the heavy publicity for it.

BFM Paris IDF's (and perhaps the rest of the regional channels) Bonjour show has new graphics -- and also a new host: Marguerite Dumont takes over from Tanguy de Lanlay.

Lots of interesting details in this interview about BFMTV. One that sticks out to me: BFM 2, which will enable them to branch out to what essentially is called streaming in the US and elsewhere, with it being available on the internet, smart TVs and the BFMTV app. It will feature a dedicated lineup of programs an its own studio.

The BFM2 project was also mentioned by Marc-Olivier Fogiel during today's Altice rentrée press conference, presented by Apolline de Malherbe, which also gave a first glimpse of the new BFMTV studio, which was also explained by Fogiel himself. It also takes a look at the new 20h programme with Ruquier and Hammett, plus the announcement that RMC and BFMTV will have live coverage of events surrounding the Paris 2024 Olympics (BFM can't air live events due to France Télévisions having rights, but RMC will air them due to the station being part of the French radio pool).

Fogiel gave a tour of the new studios which was posted on Twitter for those who don't want to watch the entire press conference

I'm not entirely convienced about Laurent Ruquier suddenly becoming a news presenter on BFMTV. It all seems very gimmicky and Julie Hammett has been excellent on 90 Minutes without him being there.

France 3 drama J'ai menti (I lied) had a mock re-creation of a France 3 bulletin from 2003.

LCI and CNEWS have been tied these past 2 days. LCI is often ahead on weekends, but being tied on weekdays is quite rare.
