We have an old LG TV it has no Freeview play built in but works well still .
We have Freeview through an aerial as Freeview built in the TV just not the newest Freeview play.

We have a small Roku device and use it all the time for streaming services now hardly using Freeview.

As you have to go into each app to watch a live channel by BBC, itv etc etc if not watching a show available to stream your watching live..

Why isn't there a Freeview app on Roku and other devices that has all the Freeview channels in one place that's available for people without Freeview play built in TV set?

Recently many channels where removed off aerial Freeview to make way for 5g mobile networks , if all Freeview was in an app would be full list of channels none need removing .

Also stop need to keep switching in and out of apps for set live channels as be all in one app Freeview app all the channels.

Do many others using this forum not have Freeview play built in TV set and using plug in streaming device?
Wouldn't a Freeview app contains all channels be a good addition ?
Streaming services killing off TV channels so why not put focus on free channels with stand out app with them all in one place ??????

What are some TV Reboots that should or should not happen. Pres Cafe? In the year of our lord, 2022, shows like Big Brother and Gladiators are getting revived. In the case of those two examples, this is their second reboot, and both shows will enter their third incarnation come 2023, or so. But what shows do you think are due a revival? What shows shouldn't be touched with a ten foot pole?

I, for example, would love to see a Brainiac revival. The mixture of Top Gear and Bill Nye The Science Guy, with a laddish, slightly demented, sense of humour was something I religiously watched during my childhood. I even loved the History-themed spin off that no one talks about. Such a show doesn't actually exist nowadays, so it would actually be a good shout for someone to, at least, revive the format of an infotainment science-themed show like Brainiac. What do you think?

The BBC have announced that 'Mock The Week' will be shelved after its upcoming series after seventeen years.

Dara (host) said:

"That’s it folks, the UK has finally run out of news. The storylines were getting crazier and crazier – global pandemics, divorce from Europe, novelty short-term prime ministers. It couldn’t go on. And so, regretfully, we are closing the doors on Dara and Hugh’s Academy for Baby Comedians. We just couldn’t be more silly than the news was already. Huge thanks to all our guests over the years, so many of whom went on to huge successes of their own, and never write or call. It was a joy!"

The final series will air this autumn.

ITV have released details of programming for the Autumn.

I expect everything is going to start a bit earlier than usual to accommodate the World Cup in November.

It's certainly eye-catching.

Sky rebranded sky one sky max and got rid of all numbered movie channels all getting set names etc,

In a world of streaming which will become more and more dominant and less dominant tv channels making an impact are numbered channels less specifically linked to content and names would be better to sum up what's available? As streaming is changing the way tv is viewed.

Focusing on itv...

Itv 2 now with love island and big brother next year no doubt biggest shows on the channel , would (itv reality) be a better name?
Itv 3 obviously becomes (itv gold)
Itv be (not a number already) but renamed (itv lifestyle)
Itv 4 with it's sports and action movies (itv extreme)

What was the reasoning with sky shedding it's numbered channels?
Do names in a streaming world actually make more sense than numbers now and have more stand out impact showing what's on offer?

Rolling over the CNN news thread from TV Live Forum.

Still testing the 9pm slot with no permanent presenter yet. Laura Coates seems to be the most prominent presenter on the slot so far though they did have Kasie Hunt do the slot a few weeks ago. Can't be long though before Laura gets some presenting slot since she seems to be used the most on cover. Another thing I noticed is that New Day seems to have use less double headed presentation over the last few weeks. Mostly it has been coming from New York though New Day Weekend seems to be doubled headed from Washington and New York/Or Atlanta.

Rumours have been going around that a back to basics version of Big Brother is to return to our TV screens via ITV2 and now it looks like we are close to an announcement and possibly tonight.

Since February 2023 will mark BBC Three’s 20th birthday. What do you think they’ll do? Do you think they’ll make a throw back to past idents such as the 2008 idents, the 2003 idents or even the original BBC Choice idents?

What do you think
