Probably deserves it's own thread seperate from The Sport Thread given it's a major event and it's just under a month to go until the Rugby World Cup 2023 in France with ITV releasing their advertising campaign recently.

Broadcaster Steve Wright is to present BBC Radio 2's Pick of the Pops on Saturday lunchtimes, taking over from Paul Gambaccini, who is moving to a new show on Sunday evenings.
Wright, who will continue to present his Sunday Love Songs show, called Pick of the Pops "legendary".
Gambaccini's show will include long-forgotten tracks from the last 80 years, plus his favourite lesser-known records from the 50s onwards.

Sky won't be the UK broadcaster for the awards ceremony after 20 years, according to Deadline:

I'm more curious as to its popularity in the UK, rather than who will be taking over. Was it ever as popular outside of the US?
Anyone seen this pile of garbage that’s just launched on Freeview?
www.shotstv.com
Badly-filmed short-form content made by journalists based at local papers with no broadcasting experience strung together on a Freeview channel at a time when the same company is making huge numbers of staff redundant. What is the possible commercial case for this other than the chairman David Montgomery has his fingers in other Local TV pies and wants a bigger share of that disaster?
Did try and look at the online stream (for a fold up mobility scooter no less), but after the preroll ad, it just, erm, died.
Steering clear of the recent history…..
It’s now been announced that the format will be tweaked slightly from September 2023 onwards, when the programme returns for the new “season”.
Holly will be the main presenter, co-presenting with a random presenter from a pool of 4 or 5 others. (Dermot, Alison, Josie, Craig and one other who I can’t remember).
Back in May, I had suggested that a truly random rota would be a good idea, with no set days and mixing up the group in a random way. It seems they’ve gone half-way towards that, and I quite like the idea.
With only a few weeks to the “launch”, what else can we expect to see, apart from some shuffling on the sofa? What else is possible, to elevate the programme back to its glory days?
Answers on a postcode……
Angela Rippon and Krishnan Guru-Murthy amongst the participants announced. Good choices!
Aside…….I believe Strictly Come Dancing should go out on a high. I know it is still popular, but isn’t the format becoming a bit tired after all these years?
It’s been on our screens longer than Cilla’s Blind Date, which is hard to believe.
It would be sad if these iconic shows were allowed to just fizzle out because of huge drops in audience figures.
That said, I’m looking forward to see Angela and Krish on the floor.
New look Sky Sports News on air and the Sky News inspiration is clear from the off - DOG and clock moved to the bottom left, where they are on Sky News. What are lower thirds on Sky News is the bottom of the reverse L-bar, with Sky Sports News keeping its own style lower thirds (they animate differently now though). It looks a lot cleaner I have to say. The music, which is now ten years old and lasted through several rebrands, has been kept, and is back on Good Morning Sports Fans which had its own theme for a while.
Sunshine Radio in Ludlow and Hereford (which has its roots in a pirate station), is also likely to fall into Bauer's hands - although it currently does not subscribe to RAJAR, under Muff Murfin's ownership.

A bit of a messy start to the Today programme this morning. The issues seemed to be resolved once the headlines started at 06:02.

Traditional TV viewing in the UK has seen its sharpest ever decline over the past year, according to Ofcom.
The broadcasting watchdog's annual report into viewing and listening habits showed the proportion of people who tune in each week was down from 83% in 2021 to 79% in 2022.
Media Nations 2023, released on Thursday, suggested older audiences are also switching off at the fastest rate.
